There are some deadlines that deserve to have “dead” in their title. Your life, or at least your ability to survive the school year or perhaps your parents murdering you when you step into the house, depends on it. Here are a few key deadline dates for the school year to keep in mind.
May 1 was the last day to cancel your Ohio University housing commitment. If over the summer you decided to move into an off campus rental close to OU, it will cost you $200 to do so. This includes both new and returning students. You may want to work an extra late shift to cover it.
August 17 is the last day to cancel your meal plan.
August 26 is the last day to add a class without your instructor’s approval. August 27 is the last day to check out of the residence hall to get an 80% refund.
Sept. 2 is the last day to register for fall semester. Sept. 3 is the last day to check out of a residence hall with a 60% refund. Yes, switching to that Court Street apartment will cost you. Procrastination may as well be its own country in Athens Ohio.
