Don’t try this in your Athens Ohio apartments, students. Better to exercise and exorcise your inner drummer by planning to hear Columbus percussionist Cameron Leach on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m., at OU. Leach has been making a name for himself as a daring and innovative performer – said to be blurring “the lines between theatrical production and solo recital,” in a way that pulls the audience into the performance. Leach is a Columbus native and graduate of the Eastman School of Music. He has performed with ensembles ranging from Dallas Winds to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
