OU Students, Faculty, Staff Can Now Ride the Bus for Free
Yep, you should probably send the Athens Public Transit system a thank-you note for making it much easier and cheaper to get back home to your Athens apartment.
Last July, the joint Athens-Ohio University partnership program, Bobcat Pass, announced that OU students, faculty, and staff will be able to ride all Athens transit routes for free, with the presentation of an OU ID to the driver.
New Cross Town Lines Link West to East
Plus, the West Side residents will have a direct access to the East Side. Line 4 has been changed to a new cross town line. All schedules and routes are available here.
That will definitely be welcome news when the snow flies this winter, you’re feet are just too tired, or you’d rather be safe than walk home to your uptown rental in the dark.
It’s such good news, you might even consider baking your local bus driver a cake, buying them a beer at Tony’s, or at the very least giving them a well-deserved high-5.
