Looking for some festival fun within an easy drive of your Athens apartment? On June 10, 2017, the Appalachia Rising Community Festival features music, Ohio craft beer, obstacle courses and other competitions, and local culinary delicacies. The fun takes place at Solid Ground Farm.
The fest does take VISA and Mastercard, but cash is always preferred. Food is sold throughout the day. Alcohol can be purchased, but please do not bring your own as the fest does not have the required permits.
Local Music
Music includes the Ugata Drum Crew, singer songwriter Paul Waltz, Megan Bee, Terros and Bright at Night. Dance to the roar of a bonfire and enjoy some local brew.
Obstacle Course
Feel like some competitive fun? Run the RAW Gauntlet, a competitive obstacle course that is half ninja/ half Appalachian. Run through 20 obstacles in a half mile sprint in a test of agility, speed, and downright stubborn spirit.
