Spending the summer in an Athens rental close to OU? Then the bricks are calling your name! Boogie on the Bricks, held on June 17, 2017 in uptown Athens, is the community fest of the summer, and it’s absolutely free.
Dance in the streets, enjoy some local craft brew, and sample local food. They’ll also be plenty of street art, crafts and local merchandise. It’s family friendly, with a Kid Zone dedicated to the little ones.
Two Stages = Twice the Fun
The music happens on two stages. The Main Stage will be located on Court Street between Carpenter and West State Street. The Summer Shandy Stage will be located near the intersection of Court Street and Washington Street.
Last year’s fest featured the Chicago Afrobeat Project, Woody Pines, and Splitroot.
