It’s hard to resist a good taco, but what happens when you’re surrounded by great tacos from food trucks as far as the eye can see? That’s what Columbus’ Taco Fest seeks to answer. Happening twice a year—one weekend in May and one weekend in October—the Columbus Taco Fest rounds up the best taco trucks, craft vendors, and dessert makers in town.
The Columbus Taco Fest takes place in one of the city’s major green areas, Goodale Park. A popular location for other festivals, Goodale Park is sprawling with space and offers plenty of it for food trucks and vendors to set up. And there’s still ample room to hang out and find a spot to sit down with your friends while you smash tacos.
What to Expect While Attending the Taco Festival
The Taco Fest is a free to enter festival that’s family-friendly. The festival takes place twice a year in May and October and runs for a full weekend. Festival-goers can naturally expect the best tacos around to make appearances at the dozens of food trucks that fill the festival grounds, but there’s tons more to do and see.
The festival plays host to a number of craft vendors who are sure to have a selection of themed goods to help celebrate the food. And what’s a festival without live music to help set the mood? The taco fest has multiple acts playing up on a stage throughout the course of the weekend to keep the vibes going all day long.
Donations are accepted on-site at the festival to benefit Friends of Goodale Park, a local nonprofit whose sole mission is to maintain Goodale Park as a public space and keep it beautiful year-round.
If tacos and tequila are your bread and butter, the Columbus Taco Fest is a can’t miss event. For fall festival dates, keep an eye on their official website for future announcements.
