Something you might not know about Columbus is that it’s a top food city. No, really. Plenty of reputable publications like Condé Nast and Essence Magazine recognize the heart of the Buckeye state as the one of the best in the nation. Columbus has an extensively diverse culinary scene with plenty of award-winning chefs, supper clubs, and James Beard award-winning eateries. That same fanfare extends to its community of food trucks as well.
On August 16th and 17th, 2025, the Columbus Food Truck Festival comes roaring into town. The festival is a local celebration of the many types of cuisine to be found in Columbus, and it features 50 of the best trucks from across the Midwest. Coupled with live music and booths to peruse and shop from, it’s a can’t-miss summer event in Columbus.
Food Trucks as Far as the Eye Can See
In a city that’s big on its food scene, it’s no surprise that Columbus residents are passionate about their food trucks. Ask anyone, and they could probably name a few that make their favorites list. The Columbus Food Truck Festival is basically a gigantic roundup of the best of the best. With over 50 top-quality food trucks rolling into the fairgrounds, there’s something for everyone.
If you can imagine it, it’s probably there. Different world cuisines, desserts, local Columbus legends, and more join the fray of trucks ready to feed hungry crowds.
A Festival You Can Feel Good About
The Columbus Food Truck Festival is more than just good vibes and the best food trucks in town. It also gives back to the Columbus community. During its thirteen-year run, the CFTF has donated over $107,000 to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, and plenty more.
Music, Crafts, Shopping, and More
You’d be forgiven if you thought the Food Truck Festival was just for food trucks. But that’s not the case at all—tons of local creators, craftspeople, and more show up to take part in the popular weekend festivities. There’s even live music all throughout the day. With a main stage and an acoustic stage, there are plenty of options for you to grab a bite (maybe multiple) to eat and sit down with friends while enjoying talented local acts.
