There’s no better excuse to step outside your off-campus student rental than to see “The Choir of Man” on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. After all, the well-loved musical has a working bar on stage. What more could a college student want than an excuse to grab drinks and see live entertainment?
What’s the Musical About?
While it might sound like an episode of Joe Rogan, “The Choir of Man” is anything but. “The Choir of Man” is a musical that centers around pub culture. It celebrates major themes, such as community and friendship, through music, dance, and storytelling.
The show takes place in a fictional pub called “The Jungle.” Unlike traditional musicals, “The Choir of Man” does not have an overarching plot. Instead, it follows the lives of 9 men in the pub, weaving smaller stories of their lives together. The musical challenges antiquated stereotypes of masculinity, showing that men are capable of expressing a range of emotions.
What Can Audiences Expect?
Audiences who attend “The Choir of Man” should expect an incredibly high-energy performance. Given that it takes place entirely within a pub setting, the musical takes place in a totally unique pub gig atmosphere. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and join in on the fun.
“The Choir of Man” showcases popular music from past decades. Musical artists such as Avicii, Fun, Queen, Sia, Guns N’ Roses, Katy Perry, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and tons more are featured in the show. It’s an eclectic mix of music that works surprisingly well.

This is a big one for college students. “The Choir of Man” features a bar on stage where audience members can literally come up and grab a drink before the show starts. It’s a completely unique experience. Of course, audiences should also expect bartenders to card and ID patrons of “The Jungle.” Even though it’s a fun, upbeat musical, the rules still apply.
