One important July date not to miss if you’re intending to be a summer 2019 grad is July 15: that’s the last day you can apply for summer graduation from OU.
That’s right – graduation isn’t automatic, just because you successfully complete all the coursework. You still have to apply.
So by applying for graduation by July 15, you can expect to have your degree awarded for the summer semester on August 17. Summer grads will participate in commencement ceremonies (remember – commencement is NOT the same as graduation) with fall grads on Dec. 14.
The good news is you’ve got some time to plan for your commencement day activities, so for now, buckle down in your Athens Ohio student rentals and hit the books to ensure you graduate!
