Traditional crafts such as quilting and other fiber arts have enjoyed a renaissance over the last couple of decades. Athens has its own local representatives of these arts, and who participate in the notable Athens Area Fiber Faire. Every year these fiber arts aficionados join with the Dairy Barn Arts Center to put on the Quilt National ’19.
It’s a great place for a student to find something fabulous with which to decorate the five person athens ohio university rentals you and your friends share. Exhibitors hail from all over Ohio and beyond. Maybe you’ll even get bitten by the fiber arts bug and want to start creating quilts on your own. Tools are available at the exhibit should you want to try your hand.
There will also be a raffle, children’s activities and food. Tickets are $10 for the two-day event, Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
