OU’s homecoming is set for Oct. 7-12, with a roster of exciting events concluding with the Ohio vs. Northern Illinois game on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. at Peden Stadium. This year’s theme, “1804 and So Much More” has inspired the 2019 homecoming logo, which you’ll see all over campus and around Athens.
If this is your first year to experience a university homecoming week, all we can say is we hope you like the color green – because the Student Alumni Board and the Campus Involvement Center are partnering with university departments and businesses in a decorating contest to spread Bobcat spirit by means of green — everywhere. Get involved by finding out how you can help paint a window or decorate an office in OHIO green and white.
Highlights of homecoming week will include a Yell Like Hell pep rally on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 pm.; the Ohio U. Alumni Association’s Annual Awards Gala on Oct. 11; and at 8:00 a.m. on Oct. 12, the Homecoming 5K and Fun Run and Walk. There will be lots of other Homecoming events so show your school spirit by getting out of your Ohio University rentals and getting around town.
