Fall in southern Ohio is a special time of year. With the temperatures dropping and leaves changing colors, it’s a season of comfort and coziness as winter slowly turns the corner. If you want to take part in the festivities, there’s no better place to go than the Hocking Hills Fall Fest Craft Show.
The craft show takes place on October 18th and 19th from 9am-5pm and 9am-3pm, respectively. Located in the scenic Hocking Hills region, the Fall Fest is a beacon for the best local makers with handmade crafts, music performers, and artists. It’s the perfect excuse to get out of your Ohio University rental home for the day and take a mini trip with some friends.
What’s There to Do at the Hocking Hills Craft Show?
The Fall Fest Hocking Hills Craft Show is a showcase of skilled local makers in the region. With over 80 vendors, the festival will have tents lined with handmade goods that are crafted with care. As with any craft festival worth attending, the Fall Fest will have an assortment of food trucks and vendors in attendance to keep guests sated throughout the day.
Attendees won’t have to travel far for more entertainment once they’ve had their fill of craft vendors and shopping—the Fall Fest plans to have live music going all day long.
The main area the show takes place in is heavily wooded, and it acts as a stunning backdrop for the festival. Craft show-goers will get to marvel at the beauty of southern Ohio in the fall with peak fall foliage. The best news? Even though the grounds are covered in the thicket of tree canopies along with their stumps, roots, and other natural terrain to traverse, efforts have been made to improve the experience. The new layout is promised to be more accessible, limiting the number of slopes, roots, and boulders along the walking paths.
Don’t Forget to Stop at the State Park While You’re in the Area
No trip to Logan would be complete without stopping at Hocking Hills State Park. Located roughly equidistance between Columbus and Athens, it’s just as good a destination for Buckeyes to escape their college rental housing as it is for Bobcats. Take a quick walk along a trail or stay and explore for a while. It’s one of the most popular state parks in Ohio for a reason.
Don’t miss the Hocking Hills Fall Fest Craft Show on both October 18th and 19th, 2025. More information on the event can be found on their event page.
